Help me with my barbarian 6/fighter 1
Hey, I’m making a lvl 7 ancestral guardian barbarian 6/fighter 1 and am stuck between a couple of options for how to go about it, would love some help!
I’ve narrowed it down to four options, what do you think is best? (Or if you’ve got a better idea)
- Glaive, polearm master, defense or gwf fighting style - if I’ve done the maths right this is about 31.5 damage a turn in rage and is with a reach weapon so I can hit people, activate ancestral protectors and leave so that that enemy will have to use the disadvantaged attacks (unless they’re faster than me)
-Spear and shield, polearm master, dueling fighting style - this one does the most damage at 33.5 average and gets me better ac too but less chance of getting the ancestral protectors disadvantage as I’m still in melee
-sword and shield, shield master feat, dueling fighting style - this doesthe least damage at 21 but it should give fairly regular prone enemies which I’m considering because we’ve also got a Paladin in the party, also with disadvantage on opp attacks I could get away and get the ancestral protectors
-unarmed fighting style, tavern brawler feat - 23 average damage but consistent grapples, I dunno it might be funny
