Looking to buy my first 4k Blu Ray player (money is tight)

Look I know if money is tight then this is not the best hobby to get started in. I already own a Sony A95L TV and a Sonos sub and Arc. Looks like the next and final large obstacle is getting a quality blu ray player. Are there any recommendations that can compete with the top dogs(UB9000)? Or do I need to just pay my entire inheritance for one of those?
