Need an accounting perspective on Daycare / Child care business

Hello,

I am in the early stages of having my own business. I have the funds and net worth required to open a franchise daycare like The Goddard School but I am wondering if it's worth it (financially).

I have a passion for kids but I currently have a stable job with benefits for my family. I am ready to take risks but would like some insights into what you've seen out there.

Today my family spends about $150k/year... I am able to save for retirement, college... Are owners able to have enough to save for their family? Or is this a way to "buy another job"?
