Permanently dry lips years after accutane

This is really frustrating for me. Though it’s not a huge side effect, I never realized how annoying dry lips are because it was never an issue before.

I was on a mild dose of accutane about 5 years ago.

Now, I still have dry lips. If I don’t manage it at all, it gets just a layer of dry dead skin. I had a bad habit for a long time of constantly picking at the skin, because it was just never smooth Often till my lips bleed.

I’m trying harder to manage it by using a sugar scrub instead of picking. Lanolin, laneige lip mask. It’s better but still.. a few hrs after exfoliating and applying lanolin, it’s dry again, at least not incredibly dry but some small flakes of dead skin.

And it seems most people don’t have it as bad after accutane so I just feel unlucky
