Should I Be Paranoid?

Hi Everyone! Would just like to preface with a quick thank you to anyone willing to help out here!

My (m28) girlfriend (f26) and I just recently moved into a new apartment building after a string of extremely disheartening experiences renting units from private landlords. We've been absolutely loving the unit so far and have been thinking this place could be our long-term home while we save for our next chapter in life.

In our kitchen, we have an Air Fryer, and a Coffee Maker plugged into the same wall outlet. We are only using the two available plugs with absolutely no extension cords or any extra electronics plugged in. Despite this, we recently discovered that when we use both devices at the same time, it overloads the fuse and we need to go reset it at the fuse box! Just for context, this happened the initial time, we discovered the problem, and then it happened once more the other day because we forgot!

I just received an email from the property management regarding "safe use of wall outlets" and a reminder to "not overload any electrical outlets"...

So I guess I have a couple questions;

- Are there potentially cameras within our unit that I should be worried about?

- Do apartment buildings somehow have a way to monitor if individual units have issues with fuses?

or

- Is this just an extremely conveniently timed email and I'm just being paranoid?
