Moving to Albany area

Hi ! I’m looking to move at the end of the year ( December 1st) to the Albany area with my partner. I am a power chair user and hoping for better public transportation. Any recommendations/ tips for this potential move. I don’t drive and I’m hoping to start working again . I’m looking for info on how the public transit is and getting to and from potential jobs and surrounding areas, like malls, stores, movies etc. for reference i live in Dutchess county right now and the transportation is shit. They would be able to take me to my previous job, but not home and this was an issue.
