Did I sell

I mentioned why I couldn't apply ED to UChicago (money) in their why us prompt. I got waitlisted last year and thought I'd be an autoreject if I didn't apply ED. It was one-off and the rest of the why us was extremely specific, strongly implying that UChicago was my first choice by a long shot. Is this autoreject or will they just skip over it?
