Double standards?

Why did people get upset about Monica talking about fancy clothes and brands and calling her untreatable, when Dax talks about fancy cars all the time, which do is just as expensive/unrelatable?

Edit: to be clear, I think both Dax and Monica are entitled to everything they have, and are entitled to talk about it. I’m not trying to disparage Dax, just want to point out the double standard
