What is your opinion to my Solution to solve crime in India?

Hi.

I would like to know your opinion on my solution to fight crime. Developed countries fight crime by having strong police force which is not underpaid and overworked. I understand that India does not have enough funds after tax evasion and corruption to do this. How about we enforce a minimum number of CCTV coverage per employee in an institution. I am saying that every corner of a street and workplace be recorded. Yes, this requires a bit of investment (at a workplace, this should be covered by the owner), but surely this will help with speedy justice and subsequent reduction in crime. What is the catch? Personally , I don't mind being under surveillance 24/7 except in my home.
