What Camera Should I Buy?

Hi!!

My life has become very mundane, I feel like I’m living the same day everyday. I spent a lot of time thinking about how I could add some enrichment to my days, and I’m very interested in photography.

I have little to no knowledge of cameras/photography techniques/etc. I have a creative side to me that I don’t tap into as much anymore, but I think photography would be a fun way to learn a new hobby and satisfy my creative side. I am pretty good with Adobe photoshop/illustrator etc.

That being said, I don’t yet know what type of photography I’d like to do. I think I’d need to start doing it to find my niche.

What would be a good camera for beginners who have very little camera knowledge? Someone recommended the Fujifilm s-x10, but that’s a little more than I’m willing to spend on a hobby I’m just starting.
