A strange virus is killing cats in Poland. I'm looking for updates from other countries.

In shortcut:

Last weekend, there were reports from veterinary clinics about a strange cat disease that starts with respiratory problems and quickly progresses to very high fever, neurological problems, and the death of the cat. The disease has affected both indoor and outdoor cats, whether they are fed dry food, canned food, or a raw food diet (BARF). The symptoms progress very quickly, and death occurs within 24-36 hours. There is no known method of treatment. At this moment, over 80 cases have been reported, out of which only 2 cats have survived. The disease is occurring throughout the country.

Yesterday there was an update from GLW (Głowny Inspektoriat Weterynaryjny - The Main Veterinary Inspectorate) that they examined three dead cats from the tri-city area (Gdańsk/Gdynia/Sopot - near sea) and they found influenza virus, now they are working to find which strain and type.https://www.wetgiw.gov.pl/main/aktualnosci/Oswiadczenie-GLW-ws.-zakazen-kotow-domowych/idn:2280

One of the most well-known Polish veterinarians, a specialist in infectious diseases, suspects that this is the H5N1 subtype known as avian influenza.https://www.facebook.com/tadeusz.frymus.5/posts/794034558886402

I have a question, mainly for cat owners/vets from neighbouring countries such as Germany or the Czech Republic. Have you heard of or seen any strange illnesses in cats in your area?
