Redwood Rd closure - Not recommended on a road bike

I don't know how many of you guys have tried riding through the road closure on Redwood Rd between Castro Valley and Chabot, but I wouldn't do it again on my road bike. I've ridden through the closure a few times last summer, but this was the first time I've been over there in several months. Previously there was one barrier at the top and one at the bottom, which were relatively easy to get around. Now, it seems they REALLY don't want people trespassing, there are three separate barriers on the north side of the washout, and three on the south side. I was riding north to south, and the barriers get progressively tougher to get around. Two of the barriers are chain link fences that overhang the steep side slope and require navigating a very steep, slippery, and muddy down slope, not fun in road cleats while shouldering an unwieldy bike. Also the road is totally covered in debris from the rain and winds. It's just not worth it unless you absolutely have to get around to avoid a long detour. The good news is someone is actually working on the repair, it will probably still be quite a long time before it reopens, but it's not just seemingly abandoned like the Wildcat slide appears.
