is it a good thing that when people ask my(19F) ex(18M)(i'm still really close with and live with) who i am he says im his ex girlfriend?

like is that him bragging, or hinting to his friends that i'm off limits, or what? it's happened a few times now and it doesn't sound like it's in a mean way. he also went from being into blondes before meeting me to now following a lot of girls who look similar to me on instagram. he also hasn't hooked up with anyone else since we met even tho we broke up awhile ago. idk i'm so confused because he gives such mixed signals but i can't help but think he subconsciously still loves me and is just waiting for me to get better so we can try again. which ik sounds kinda delusional and it probably is to some extent but i think there's definitely some truth to it
