Baby only has 1 kidney

ETA: Thank you all so much for your reassuring comments and personal stories ❤️ reading them has made me feel so much better and so grateful that nothing more serious is going on with her and that she will live a happy and healthy normal life, with a fun icebreaker to share in school :)

Just had my 20 week anatomy scan and the doctor called us the same day and told us our baby girl only has one kidney and that they don’t even see an artery for a second one so they’re pretty positive it’s not there. Going in for a second ultrasound in 2 weeks cause they need more images of the heart, what is the likelihood of them finding the second kidney at that ultrasound? Feeling really sad and guilty as this is my first baby, I feel sad for her that she only has one kidney even though we’ve been reassured she will live a normal and healthy life with just one. They aren’t doing much other testing besides for me going in for ultrasounds at 28 weeks and 34 weeks to check up on the one kidney. NIPT test and all other recommended genetic testing came back normal, I just feel so worried that there is more wrong.
