Are gender reveals worth it?

So I’m 14 weeks ( 15 weeks Thursday) but we find out the gender of the baby this week and we still haven’t figured out do we want a gender reveal. Personally I just don’t feel like hosting because I’m having the worse morning sickness..my doctor told me I have HG and it’s so bad I have to go into the doctors office to get IV therapy just to have a little relief but I’m still vomiting like crazy.. the Christmas smells I can’t explain it does something to me in the worse way plus I’m always exhausted and out of breath.

My boyfriend wants one because this is my first baby and also his but he also won’t be mad if we don’t throw one, but I can tell he wants one. So did anyone have a good experience with their gender reveal?
