Changes and Cancellations
From the Festival:
“We are deeply disappointed to announce that Julien Baker & TORRES, Asha Puthli, and Arushi Jain are each having to postpone planned tours and cancel their Big Ears appearances - due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control. We wish all a speedy recover and return to live performance in the very near future.
…and some additions and changes to the schedule…
Stepping into the open slot at the Mill & Mine on Friday evening, bassist extraordinaire Jamaaladeen Tacuma introduces 101 Audio Odyssey - an incredible supergroup with Nels Cline on guitar, Immanuel Wilkins on sax, and King Noli on drums / keys / and vocals. Buckle your seatbelts!
In addition, ambient electronic music master will present a third unique show at Church Street United Methodist Church, immersed in the imaginative visual world created by Age of Reflection. Roach will now be headlining each evening Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, offering Big Ears fans multiple opportunities to explore inner and outer space.
The fabulous Arooj Aftab will move from the Tennessee Theatre - where she has already performed two capacity shows at Big Ears - into the Knoxville Civic Auditorium, performing prior to Waxahatchee on Saturday night.
There may be other last minute necessary adjustments made to the Big Ears schedule. We encourage everyone to download the festival app for the most up-to-date schedule, as well as to stay informed with up-to-the-minute notifications and information.”
All of these cancellations hit hard and hurt, but the weekend will still be amazing.
