Bitdefender and HTTPS threat prevention scanning

I have tried using bitdefender total security for the last few days and I have some concerns..

Moving from kaspersky that had a root certificate for scanning https web traffic, the bitdefender root certificate seems un reliable in compression.

First of all it works only in chrome, and sometimes it disappears and the original website certificate appears.. On the other hand it is able to block dangerous URLs even on other browsers and when this happens, the root certificate suddenly appears..

Parental control for example works only when the root certificate appears, and as mentioned it's not always the case..

In kaspersky the root certificate was very consistent, and thats where my worries coming from. After all most websites working with https at this point and preventing a virus from entering your computer is a stronger measure to prevent damages than relay only on file anti-virus..
