passive spamming?

I'm sort of new to brawlhalla (just started playing near the end of the last season) and I was playing experimental to help practice in ranked, and some guy called me out for passive spamming. So what is passive spamming? Is it just being a passive player? Cause I literally didn't use a single sig that game. Can someone explain this to me?
