Surprisingly frustrated by new hose holder.

Spouse Charming made me a makeshift hose holder (attached to our bed frame) out of materials he had in the garage. It's ugly but worked great. Since the test holder was a win, I wanted to get one that looked nice.

I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C23LZ684?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

The first night using the new one, I knocked it over. Didn't want to get up and try to mess with it while I was still mostly asleep and the mask was still on. Didn't find out until morning that the machine stopped running. I don't or care exactly why the machine stopped. The hose was still connected to me and the machine, and the mask properly on my face. But here I am, really starting to get used to the machine, and woke up with a raging headache after accidentally not using most of the night.

I'm trying to decide whether to keep this new one and make it work, or to make the home made one look nicer (and get sturdier velcro for it.)

I have it sitting on the floor roughly like the picture shows, but the flexible part pushed over so it's just a bit lower and right above my head. It's a given that I'd need to put a weight on the bottom to keep it from falling over, but wondering if anyone has experience with this stand? I kind of felt like the hose didn't move through it as smoothly as my home made one (which was helpful when I turned in my sleep) and maybe setting it up in a different way would help with that, but not sure.
