I support Canada Post Strike Rant

These workers are doing a job many of us wouldn’t want to do—working tirelessly rain or shine, in the snow, all days of the week to make sure you get your packages. Yet, instead of supporting them, some find it inconvenient to stand with them.

It’s disappointing to see a lack of support, as it reflects a disregard for others’ well-being. It’s worth considering: what if it were you working at Canada Post?

Canada Post serves everyone, including those without access to other delivery options. We depend on them to keep our communities connected, and privatization is not the answer. We need real solutions, not temporary fixes.

This situation didn’t come out of nowhere. The challenges have been known for over a year, but little was done to address them. Stopping the strike without resolving these deeper issues won’t help in the long run. Inflation isn’t going anywhere, and passing the problem to next year isn’t a solution.

We need to prioritize sustainable changes that support the workers and the communities they serve.
