How to navigate lying about layoff vs poor performance. New job.
Recently lied in interviews saying I got let go in a layoff where in fact I was let go for 'poor performance'. Truth is new manager came in and fired me. I hit all targets just didn't play the long corporate game.
Start the new job next week. How do I navigate that when someone asks in the new job?
Interview process was very competitive, I was out of work for a while. I had to to do what I had to do.
