Does anybody else dread leg days?
I think it's been more than 3 months since I restarted Caroline's program & oh my god leg days are so mental! I have to push myself so many times pre & mid workout. It feels so wrong because as a woman I should excitedly look forward to them, but I don't T-T
I'm preparing my mind for Iron day 18 Glutes day as we speak (contemplating since 2 days >-<)
I also developed a bad knee I think. It doesn't pain but it crackles now when I go down, which was not the case for past 20+ years. So now I avoid going ATG for Squats.
Anybody else?
Edit: Thanks guys for sharing your perspectives. I have decided to take it slow & drop the weights. Probably get some knee braces & start looking into hip mobility/knee strengthening exercises, as well as focus on my lunges form. It's stupid to push body when it is telling you to stop. I'm gonna stop trying this stupidity.
Edit 2 [post 16 days of this post]: folks! I'm back to loving leg days again!! Started round 2 of Iron yesterday, & so far no knee pain, only DOMS. I dropped my weights & started being 'mindful' about my lunge form if it makes sense? Like no longer rushing through them just for the sake o it, but actively focusing on the muscles involved. God it's good to back.
