Event facilities and forest zoom out??

How do people get pictures of their whole forests?? I can only zoom out so much. And I don't even understand why that is- why wouldn't we be able to zoom out easily so we can see everything?

Also, I cannot for the life of me remember how to find my event facilities. I just stored everything in my forest so I can reorganize it, and I'd like to add my mushroom house, why can't I figure out where my event facilities are?
