How do I deal with a cockroach infestation?

As the title says, I need help with a cockroach infestation in my kitchen.

There has been a lot of baby/ smaller sized cockroaches present in the kitchen for the last few days. I killed 5 of them alone today and I am highly concerned that it might get out of control.

Any practical solutions to deal with a cockroach infestation in a kitchen? What steps and measures should I take to mitigate this issue ASAP?
