The Flag Project

How do we feel about this whole flag project?

While I do find the flag that won striking and pretty cool. I could totally get behind it but I also like the old flag as well. I think it’s classic and it does say Cleveland to me when I see it. I do have some issues with the project and new flag namely: 1) calling it the “people’s flag” comes off kind of divisive since the first flag was designed by an actual Cleveland resident and introduced and adopted in the exact same manner this was created (I believe a newspaper competition among school children or something like that) 2) this new flag was designed by a guy in Aurora. This probably irks me the most because everyone in the suburbs loves to say they’re from Cleveland until they don’t. 3) way too much symbolism- every little element has some sort of representation (we get it dude) 4) only 11,000 people participated- still way off from calling it “the peoples” and continually using the bully pulpit towards City Hall to adopt it seems a little minority rule(ish)

Anyways, just my opinion no right or wrong just curious what others thought?
