C PTSD
I had therapy again this week. She says I have ptsd from my toxic relationship. I asked what the game plan is for therapy interventions. She said we have been doing CBT and also tried DBT but it didn’t work according to her. We are going to be doing EMDR as therapist feels that has been effective in the past. What therapy’s worked for you all? I’m not opposed to EMDR but I feel like that’s the only option my therapist pushes. I didn’t even know we were doing CBT and DBT to find out they are not working is kind of devastating. In my toxic relationship my ex kept saying that I was the problem I am working on my problems now. However learning that therapies did not work makes me wonder if my ex was right if I’m more broken than what I know.
