Long lasting inexpensive outdoor signs

I recently joined the board of 428 acer non-profit nature preserve where the many of the signs have degraded. We have some good interpretive signs but some need replacing. Other signs are simply laminated computer prints that tend to degrad quickly.
What are our options for moving forward with replacement signs, we want longevity and low expense.
