[CHAT] Sewing aida to plastic canvas?

I made a bunch of small pieces (think pride flags and pokemon sprites) with the intention of turning them into keychains, but I'm finding it really difficult to turn them into keychains using the aida. Folding it just gets bulky and awkward, and I can't find a way to cut the fabric without getting too close to the stitches themselves. Has anyone stitched/sewed their aida piece onto a plastic canvas after finishing the piece? I'd like to save them if possible, but going forward I'm definitely just using the plastic canvas.

Thanks for all the help on my previous posts btw, if you've been keeping track I'm kind of a learn by experience (aka do stuff and realize I've done something dumb AFTER the fact) kind of gal lmao
