[CHAT] Is there a way to stop Aida getting discoloured over time? Or to get rid of discolouration?

I have a few older projects that the white Aida is starting to get discoloured. They are in smoke free homes , the are either in hoops or have been made in bunting type like these. I gave them as gifts. A friend recently asked me if it’s ok to wash them. I told her I usually wash them in baby shampoo after I made them just go get the little bits a dirt they pick up. But would that help with discolouration?
