Players are about to arrive in Valaki. Any tips and ideas that you guys have for the town?

Next session the players will finish the encounter with the hags at bonegrinder. Either running or fighting. And I just wanted to see what ideas or advice you guys have for the town. Like there is a good amount of stuff going on in this town and it's where the players will first truly meet Strahd. But I wanted to see what you guys experienced and changed when you ran this campaign.
