Best Way to Remove Ivy Between Fence Panels Without Damaging the Fence?
Hey everyone,
I recently cut down a thick English ivy that had been growing on my wooden fence for years. The issue is that a lot of the dead ivy stems and roots are still wedged between the vertical fence panel slats, and I’m struggling to remove them without causing further damage.
Some of the stems are deeply embedded, and I’m worried that pulling too hard might break the already weakened fence panels. I plan to repaint the fence soon, so I want to clear out as much of the ivy as possible beforehand.
Does anyone have experience with this? What’s the best way to remove ivy remnants without damaging the fence? Should I try power washing, using specific tools, or just letting it dry out more? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
