Vasectomy Today

I'm 33M and my wife is also 33F, have been in a DB for around 6 years or so. For some reason today I went and got a vasectomy, not sure why, not like I need it as we don't have sex. Not entirely my idea but also wasn't against it, but now I'm wondering why, is it possible there is hope now? Will the vasectomy change anything? Anyone with experience?

Plus side, the nurse that took me back was a cute girl and she seemed to enjoy staring at me and touching me for longer than I would have thought needed. I'll check that off as the highlight of the year as I doubt it will get much better.
