Spring break crowd tips, and rope drop ride plans?

I’m going to Disneyland/ California Adventure on a Monday and Tuesday the second week of March. I’ve heard it’s going to be packed, but that’s the only time I can get vacation. Does anyone have any tips on still having fun despite it being crowded. We are mostly going for rides so basically what’s some tips on riding a lot when it’s so packed?

We do plan on getting genie+ but I don’t think my group wants to pay extra for the other rides like Rise, and Radiator, but we still want to try to ride them despite that.

Also if we can get there by rope drop what order of rides would be most beneficial. At either or both parks? We are only doing one day at each park and not park hop passes.
