New player

Hellow everyone Im new to DnD and I dont really understand how things go, the rules or how do I play but it seems really interesting. I have always loved the world with magic, quests, guilds and different creatures evil good immortal and stuff so I want to get into it. First of all where do I play it (online if possible) and is there like a step by step guide that can help me cuz its too much and I cant understand much alone. Thank you all
