Questions for the DND Community
Hi there! I'm a college student writing up an ethnography term paper (which I totally procrastinated and is due tonight lmao) for my cultural anthropology class. Our assignment is to find a community that we don't know much about on a website like Reddit, Tumblr, or Facebook and look into it. By "looking into it," I must provide background information on my topic, discuss the observations I've made on the community, and report the findings I've come across. The final part of my paper is the findings section or interacting with the community! I have friends who play DND and have always found it intriguing, but never really go into the game myself and thought this would be a perfect opportunity to learn more about it. I only have a few questions and would appreciate some answers:) btw, you'll remain completely anonymous, and this section is a small portion of the paper. Thank you so much!

- Why are you interested in DND? What/Who got you into it?
- If you were to compare the game to other books/movies/shows to explain the game to someone new, what would you compare it to?
- What race(s) class(es) do you find yourself typically picking out for your character and why?
- Why should someone get into DND?
