Inexpensive car for fun

Dear petrolheads, I am finally settling in Dubai and think about getting a cx5 for my wife and need a fun car for me.

I see many Porsche Boxter ~2006, japanese cars for around 50k

Does anyone have experience with these cars? What would be your choice? I don’t want to spend more than 100k, driving only on week end.
