Alternatives to fast food?

I eat fast food at least once a day, often twice a day. I'm on the road a lot and the easiest way to get a meal is to just find a drive-thru and get a cheap burger. Obviously, this is unhealthy, and I want to change.

Is there any way I can overcome this? Maybe something I can keep in a cooler in my car so I can have something healthy on the goal?

I've started to crave the cheap salty food from these places, so something that can satisfy that craving would probably help.
