Advice - proposal photos & placeholder ring, how does it work?
Ladies (and gentlemen)! Gosh hopefully this is my last post before the event (lol) because my nerves are kinda shot just waiting.
So we just got the news that our ring (which we've picked out/designed together) is delayed by a few weeks -_- It's likely he will propose by the end of summer (a timeframe we had already discussed together), and we've also had discussions in the past where I've said I'm OK with a placeholder ring if 'the right moment' comes and the real ring still isn't ready.
However my personal preference is also to have proposal photos of some sort. I love photos of big moments in life -- not for social media, but because all my family live really far away so this is a way I get to include them in my big moments/ share joyful news with them. So my question for this sub is -- how would proposal photos work if there's a placeholder ring?
It seems like most photos have a ton of ring closeups, but I'm thinking I wouldn't want to document so much of a placeholder when we're already getting the real one made. If you have any experience or advice with this situation please do share :) Trying to figure out how I feel about everything.
