Is it okay to freeze breastmilk for a year?

I know technically the guidelines say frozen breastmilk should be used within 6 months. I’m a barely enougher but early on I was able to probably freeze enough milk for about 10 days. It’s all been sorted and packed away neatly.

I know I could rotate the frozen milk in and freeze some of the newer fresh milk but after washing and filling bottles and pumping and sorting milk every single day for the majority of 2 years now, I just can’t find it in me to spend more time defrosting a few bags at a time, remembering to use it within 24 hours, measure the fresh milk and label and bag it, rearrange the whole freezer to put the newer milk in the back and bring the older milk to the front, etc.

I’d rather just keep my frozen stash frozen until the planned end of my journey, around 12 months and over the course of a week or two, use all of my stash before transitioning to cows milk.

All my milk is in a deep freezer. I have tried a few bags of frozen milk and my baby did drink it and I will be using some of it and storing the newer milk when I go away and leave baby with dad for a few days but I just really don’t want to deal with rotating milk.

Is this okay? Is it safe as long as it’s been frozen this whole time?
