Investment Banking Analyst looking to join FP&A role at a major PE-backed company, is it possible to jump to a PE role down the line?

Hi everyone, currently in investment banking and I just want to jump IB as soon as I can as I don't want to be pigeonholed in this career for much longer. I have really made strides to jump to PE but the job market at the moment is really slow and overall not ideal given how late I am at recruiting for PE.

That being said, I am pursuing an opportunity to potentially join a decently paying remote FP&A role at a PE-backed company. They claim they are "hands off" and it's a 130k base role, but I am unsure about bonus or equity as part of the comp package.

I think at this point in time almost all jobs out there will be significantly better WLB than my current IB role, so I am not too hung up on that front, but I am hung up on the career optionality once this PE firm exits this company. I am curious if it's still possible to jump to a PE or even growth equity/venture capital role down the line with my IB background. Hope to hear from you guys on your thoughts with this.
