Looking for calm water spots

Trying to get my girlfriend into more fishing, and I recently picked up a Flycraft. Trying to get her more and more comfortable in calm spots. Open to any/all ideas (on/off James, ~30 min radius from downtown RVA).

What would be a good spot you all would recommend?
