Does freepik steal art?

Hi I'm using some freepik art for my youtube videos. I thought as it's name would suggest that it is free AI art, that it was safe and fine to use, but some people have been telling me that the site steals art. I was wondering if anyone can provide more details on this. I'd hate to think I've been doing this for 50 plus videos so far.
