Ideas for carbs
So I am definitely not getting enough carbs in (80-90g daily) and I need ideas on how to increase my carb intake without spiking. The struggle I have is that I have celiac disease so things like “whole grains” are a no go. Prior to the GD diagnosis, most “bread” I ate was with brown rice flour. I have found that this causes my blood sugar to spike. I’m already soooo limited on carbs because I can’t eat anything with gluten, and now adding GD to my problems has made keeping up on getting enough carbs super difficult. I have not gone to my dietitian appointment/diabetes education because my insurance refuses to cover it (they say it is unnecessary) and the cost is $400 for 1 appointment. Any advice is welcome please (currently 29w 5d, diet controlled).
