Buyer pulled out. Worried we will lose property we want to buy

Just a vent really. We were almost at the point of exchange and had started packing. Today we found out that our buyer couldn’t get a mortgage and had therefore had to withdraw. We’ve relisted and already had some interest, so fingers crossed we find another buyer soon. However, the house we want to buy has now also been relisted as they don’t want their purchase to fall through. Apparently they still want to sell to us, but we need to have a sale asap. What a day!
