My partner works in medicine but I'm disabled

I've been hearing some mixed information on this. If I were to marry my partner would we be able to move together?

He's a microbiology lab technician, will likely be promoted to a management position in the next year (they keep asking him if he wants to be a manager and then realizing he hasn't been there long enough).

Technically speaking I also have a medical education, so depending on how good the average Canadian employer is about accommodations I might be able to work part time. In the US they are terrible and I'm not seeing them get any better.

I've been taking some science writing/communication courses and thinking about getting an MPH, but again my ability to work depends almost entirely on an employers willingness to accommodate a person who has a medical emergency at least once a month.
