Immigrate from USA with ambiguous citizenship by descent, family connections, and work skill set
My paternal grandfather was born in Canada and i have many Canadian relatives from that generation and before. In 1888. His family moved to USA when he was a child and he naturalized as US citizen as a teen. My father born in US as was myself. I am second generation by descent but doubt my father claimed CA citizenship. He is deceased. At that era CA was still a British territory I believe. Cannot find his birth certificate from Manitoba—probably records from the time were not good.
Also have a stepdaughter who is PR and 3 grandkids who are dual CA and US citizens. But they are not able to testify as financially sufficiently well off to do the family sponsorship pathway. My wife and I are financially secure, just not the kids.
Wife and I are semi retired health professionals (psychologists) who are eligible for licensure in BC or other Provinces. However, we are 70 and looking only for part time work (if any) rather than full time.
Thoughts on the above borderline descent, family sponsorship, or work pathways?
