Thoughts on Conquest vs Mark

Was Conquest holding back against Mark? Like IMO, I am pretty sure a Viltrumite of Conquest caliber is stupidly powerful and wouldn't lose to a 19-year-old. I enjoyed this episode, but the fight scenes just made me wonder if Conquest was holding back for most of it. What do you guys think?
