A subtle but significant new accusation introduced in Lively's amended complaint: Baldoni is taking credit for Lively's edit of the film
Most of the amended complaint rehashes the two main accusations—sexual harassment and retaliation—but it also introduces some new ones, too. You might miss them on a skim reading, since they're not listed in a dedicated section, but are instead sprinkled in different places. The big one: that Baldoni is stealing credit from Lively for the film's edit.
In an early section of the complaint, the Lively parties lay the groundwork for arguing that Lively is responsible for the film's final edit despite Baldoni being the director and there being at least three professional editors involved that we know of, and, ultimately, its commercial success. At first, they avoid labeling it as her edit. Instead, they introduce a new term, calling this edit "the Sony cut."
But oopsie! In their victory lap, they end up calling it Lively's edit after all. (But remember, she did NOT hijack the movie, as stated three paragraphs earlier!)
So within one page, we go from It's Not Lively's Edit, It's Sony's Edit, to Just Kidding, It's Definitely Lively's Edit. And then, we get this:
Oh my god... Is she... seriously using this text as proof that Baldoni didn't work on the film's edit and doesn't deserve credit for it? This text?
Maybe she didn't mean that. Surely...?
Oh. She meant it.
