People still defending Balake?

My girlfriend is really into all the drama with the JB lawsuit, and now I’ve been sucked into it too lol. I keep hearing all this stuff, but I’m genuinely curious as to why hasn’t BL dropped the case yet? For those who support her, what are some reasons she’s still pursuing this? Because surely if there isn’t enough evidence, wouldn’t it make more sense for her to drop and settle? I don’t understand why they would want to keep putting themselves in a rabbit hole. I’m not taking sides, just a curious guy trying to keep a neutral perspective.
