24 GTL Car Play

So my car recognizes when my phone is connected via wire. It was fine this morning on my way to work. Music plays and all. On my way home, the car recognizes the phone and starts up car play. I go to play my music and it plays thru the phone instead of the car. I reset the system via the tiny little button but the problem still persists. Has anybody run into this problem?
